Gadgetren – Refers to the ASUS ROG Ally portable gaming device will be released soon in Indonesia. This is evident from the post SDPPI Online Certification Ministry of Communication and Information Technology for ROG Ally device submitted by PT Asus Technology Indonesia Jakarta on March 3, 2023.
The ROG Ally itself has the model number RC71L with customer ID 7384 on the Kemkominfo SDPPI e-Certification website. In addition, ROG Ally is a new device proposed by ASUS as a console notebook category among other ASUS devices in the form of laptops.
However, it is not yet known when ASUS Indonesia will start selling the compact ROG Ally handheld game console. In the United States market, the ROG Ally Z1 starts at USD 599 or approximately IDR 8.8 million, while the ROG Ally Z1 Extreme retails for USD 799 or approximately IDR 10.3 million.
Moreover, in terms of the specifications offered by the ROG Ally, it will offer a gaming experience like a desktop computer because this compact console uses the Windows 11 operating system.
Thus, ROG Ally allows all games from various well-known platforms such as Xbox, Steam, Epic Games, EA Play, GoG Galaxy and Ubisoft Connect to be played smoothly. Moreover, this device is powered by the latest processor called AMD Ryzen Z1 series, which is specifically for small-sized handheld game console devices.
The highest variant of the Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor is equipped with 8 cores and has 16 threads. Meanwhile, the Ryzen Z1 offers 6 cores and has 14 threads. Both use the default RDNA 3 graphics architecture, which is claimed to be able to present a smooth and seamless visual gaming experience.
The processor is also supported by a cooling system called the ROG Zero Gravity Thermal System which is equipped with two dedicated fans so that the cooling performance remains optimal even though the ROG Ally is used in various gaming scenarios.
Like the ASUS ROG gaming laptop, ROG Ally also provides Armory Crate Special Edition (SE) software where users can not only manage all the controls for the ROG Ally system but can also access all games at once as and set profiles for each of their favorite games.
Weighing in at 608 grams, ROG Ally has a compact and portable body so you can take it anywhere. This new field of handheld gaming monitors features a 7-inch touch screen with Full HD resolution support and supports a 120Hz refresh rate, FreeSync Premium mode and a brightness level of up to 500 nits.
This gaming handheld also supports an external GPU using ROG XG Mobile, which is able to deliver even faster gaming performance, just like a high-end PC or gaming laptop to play popular games.
