Gadgetren – After bringing the Redmi A1 to the Indonesian market in October 2022, Xiaomi Indonesia is now introducing another new mobile entry in 2023 through the Redmi A2.
Redmi A2 can be bought in Indonesia with a discount of IDR 50,000 during a promotion in May 2023, so the price for 3 GB capacity and 32 GB storage is only IDR 1,099,000. Buyers can avail this offer through online sales channel at mi.comTokopedia, Shopee, Blibli, Lazada and Akulaku.
In addition, it is also available in offline sales channels at Xiaomi Store, Xiaomi Shop and Xiaomi Preferred Partners. The Redmi A2 also has a 3GB RAM and 64GB storage variant that will go on sale on May 19, 2023, both online and offline at the regular price of IDR 1,249,000.
There are two color variants that users can choose from, including black and light blue. The Redmi A2 carries a weight of 192 grams, which offers a water drop design on the screen that has a size of 6.52″ and a resolution of HD + (1600 x 720 pixels).
On the water drop there is a 5MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture and an 8MP resolution camera with f/2.0 aperture on the back. The Redmi A2’s rear camera can record 1080p video at 30 fps.
The rear body cross-section is then covered with a textured leather-like material to provide a comfortable grip. Moving on to the internals, the Redmi A2 uses the MediaTek Helio G36 Octa-Core 12nm 2.2GHz chipset.
The chipset is equipped with a 2GB RAM expansion option to allow the RAM to reach a total of 5GB. The RAM technology uses LPDDR4X and the internal storage is equipped with eMMC 5.1.
This entry-level mobile also provides additional storage capacity via microSD up to 1TB for storing various file formats such as documents, photos and videos. The Redmi A2 battery has a capacity of 5,000mAh which is complemented by 10W charging.
The operating system uses Android 13 (Go Edition). In addition, this new mobile phone supports FM radio and 3.5mm headphone jack. In terms of privacy security, the Redmi A2 comes with 2 years of software security updates and 15 months of hardware warranty.
