Gadgetren – Priced similarly to the Samsung Galaxy A23 when it launched, the Samsung Galaxy A24 was noted to have brought some specification tweaks compared to its predecessor.
But unfortunately, it’s not just an increase. The tweaks Samsung made to these handsets also came in the form of downgrading the specs, making the two of them look even more different.
These adjustments can also be considered when we want to upgrade or when we are confused about choosing one. We can also more easily determine whether the Galaxy A24 is increasingly worth considering or not.
The difference between Samsung Galaxy A24 and Samsung Galaxy A23
Apart from the design which now looks more attractive to my eyes, the adjustments made by Samsung started from the most important aspect, namely the kitchen aisle. The Galaxy A24 no longer uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 like the Galaxy A23 but the MediaTek Helio G99.
Judging from various aspects, the Helio G99 is a chipset that is very different from the Snapdragon 680. The basis for the development of this chipset, for example, already uses the Cortex-A76 and Cortex-A55 architectures, while its competitors are still the Qualcomm Kryo 265 which is made of Cortex-A73 Derivative and Cortex-A53 Derivative.

Although both use the 6nm manufacturing process, these two chipsets also have very different GPUs. The Helio G99 is based on the ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, while the Snapdragon 680 uses the Qualcomm Adreno 610.
With the difference in the use of this chipset, the capabilities of the two mobile phones cannot be generalized. In addition, the Galaxy A24 already offers a memory configuration with 8 GB of RAM, while the Galaxy A23 is only up to 6 GB.
The next major change is in the display. The Galaxy A24 now comes with a Super AMOLED panel that offers a display brightness level of up to 1,000 nits, while the Galaxy A23 still uses a PLS LCD display.

In addition, the size is quite different when the Galaxy A23 is slightly wider. The Galaxy A24 only has a display that stretches up to 6.5 inches with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, while its predecessor has 6.6 inches of 2408 x 1080 pixels.
What’s very unfortunate, Samsung actually removed the protective screen layer on the Galaxy A24, so the panel is likely to be more prone to scratches. Although the Galaxy A23 family series was previously equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
The main camera that Samsung uses on the Galaxy A24 hasn’t changed much, it still relies on a 50MP lens and OIS. It’s just that the 2MP depth sensor, which was previously one of the mainstays on the Galaxy A23, is now absent from this mobile phone.
It’s just that, as a replacement, the Galaxy A24’s front lens is made a little higher. This mobile phone now has a sensor with a resolution of up to 13MP, which of course can produce better images than the Galaxy A23’s 8MP camera.
