1. Smooth performance
The ASUS Zenfone 9 kitchen runner comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 (4nm) Octa-Core 3.19GHz chipset, which is capable of crushing even heavy games and apps. This chipset is claimed to have CPU and GPU performance that are 15% and 50% faster respectively compared to the previous generation.
It is requested by LPDDR5 RAM with a choice of 6GB, 8GB or 16GB to handle multitasking activities smoothly. Even Zenfone 9 is able to run Genshin Impact game smoothly with highest graphics. There is a Performance Mode that will automatically activate when you use applications that require high performance, such as playing games.
ASUS also incorporated vapor chamber cooling technology, an advanced heat spreader that uses copper, graphite sheets and thermal paste that allows the temperature to remain stable even when used for a long time.
Based on tests by the Gadgetren team, the Zenfone 9 was able to get a high score of 1,039,783 points on the AnTuTu Benchmark. Meanwhile, the Geekbench app scores 1,320 points for Single-Core and 3,883 points for multi-core.
The internal storage that this mobile phone carries also has two options consisting of 128GB or 256GB that can accommodate many apps, games or files at the same time.
2. Screens pleasing to the eyes
ASUS Zenfone 9 already uses a 5.9-inch screen with a design that fills the front so that it can display a large area so that you can freely view content.
The screen is supported by a Super AMOLED panel, 112% DCI-P3, Delta-E <1, HDR10+ and Full HD+ resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels) so that it can visually present games, videos and images with good quality.
The display has a refresh rate of up to 120Hz which can display transitions between menus and game animations very smoothly. However, the system in this mobile phone offers a choice of refresh rates between 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz or Auto Switch.
Auto-switching allows the screen refresh rate to change automatically depending on the content being displayed. With a maximum brightness level of up to 1,100 nits, the content on the screen is still clearly visible even in the hot sun. ASUS also incorporated Corning Gorilla Glass Victus to reduce screen scratches.
With Widevine L1 certification, Zenfone 9 can deliver Full HD (1080p) quality videos from streaming apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, YouTube, VIU and more.
3. Compact design
We all know that it is now rare for mobile phones to be small in size. But with dimensions of 146.5mm x 68.1mm x 9.1mm, the ASUS Zenfone 9 is packed into a mobile phone with a compact design so it’s comfortable to hold in one hand.
Furthermore, the weight of just 169 grams makes this device feel light. Meanwhile, on the back, it uses a polycarbonate material with a rough texture that has a unique feel and does not leave fingerprints. Four color variants are offered including black, blue, red and silver.
All these colors are quite attractive, especially blue and red color. For the edges of this mobile phone, it uses a flat aluminum material, but it is still comfortable to hold and does not pierce the palms of the hands. The fingerprint sensor located on the power button can scan fingerprints responsively, so unlocking the screen is faster.
4. Long battery life
As a source of life energy, Zenfone 9 uses a 4,300 mAh battery, which can be said to have a slightly larger capacity than the previous generation of mobile phones.
Based on tests by Gadgetren, the Zenfone 9 was able to get a PCMark score for Android that reached 16 hours 17 minutes with 50% screen brightness, 60Hz refresh rate and 100% battery.
While in the same test with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, this device scored 12 hours 12 minutes. When you see it from the battery capacity, Zenfone 9 is able to provide long battery life.
Coming with HyperCharge 30W function, ASUS promises fast charging speed on Zenfone 9. Meanwhile, based on real tests, it only takes 90 minutes to charge the battery from 10% to 100% using the default charger.
5. Camera with good photo results
From the field of photography and videography, the ASUS Zenfone 9 is equipped with two rear cameras consisting of a 50 MP main camera and a 12 MP ultrawide camera. While on the front there is a 12 MP camera.
The main camera uses the IMX766 sensor which is capable of producing clear photos and videos. The presence of a 6-axis Hybrid Gimbal Stabilizer makes photos and video recordings clear even if the user is walking or running.
While the ultrawide camera uses the IMX363 sensor that can produce photos with a sharp wide area. In fact, this camera can also be used to take macro photos as close as 4cm.
There is also a Night Mode that allows night photos to look brighter and have minimal noise compared to using auto mode. To create mesmerizing light painting photos, users can take advantage of the Light Trail Mode already available in the default camera app.
