Gadgetren – In the event titled OPPO Find N2 Flip Production Line Visit, the Gadgetren team and other media partners were invited by OPPO Indonesia to visit and see the production process of the Find N2 Flip flip-screen mobile phone at the OPPO factory located in Viomichaniki District (Bayur), Priuk Jaya Village, Banten.
Several media present were grouped into two groups consisting of the orange group and the green group. This team split was made by OPPO Indonesia to make it easier to split the initial session between showing the production process and testing the quality of the OPPO Find N2 Flip.
The green team was first invited to see the production process. Meanwhile, the orange team was invited for the first time to see the quality test of the OPPO Find N2 Flip in the Quality Control Lab.
By the way, I myself was a member of the orange team, so I had the opportunity to see the quality tests of this foldable phone earlier. To test the quality of the OPPO Find N2 Flip, a series of standard tests were conducted, humidity, temperature difference, drop test, USB port test and others.
In this session, Defrandi Renanda Haryadi as the Head of OPPO’s Quality Department explained what processes and tests were carried out to ensure that the quality of the Find N2 Flip produced can work properly.
Please note that 8 to 10 samples will be tested out of the 1,000 units of OPPO Find N2 Flip produced. The mobile will then undergo a series of tests to check its quality and durability.
At the beginning of the session, Defrian showed a camera test from the OPPO Find N2 Flip, whose role was to check the quality of the resulting photos by taking dozens of test shots at various image angles, so he could see how detailed and good they could be the images. is.
In another test room, Defrian also explained that the OPPO Find N2 Flip also performed a plug and unplug test on the USB port and USB Swing to determine the quality of the port and the strength of the cable. This test is performed 5,000 times to obtain maximum results.
Next, the OPPO Find N2 Flip was also tested with a micro drop test by dropping it from a height of 10 cm up to 28,000 times. Meanwhile, the advanced drop test is performed with Free Fall where it is dropped from a 1 meter hysteresis 12 times for each sample unit.
Not to forget, there is also a test to find out the strength of the hinge that OPPO Find N2 Flip has by manually opening and closing the screen up to 150,000 times.
Even the OPPO Find N2 Flip itself has been certified by TUV Rhineland by performing a folding test on its hinges that can last up to 400,000 folds. You could say that equates to more than 10 years of use with the screen being opened and closed 100 times.
Thanks to the New Generation Flexion Hinge technology, the hinge can form a water drop when the screen is bent, making the folds on the OPPO Find N2 Flip screen invisible.
Defrian also revealed that if a non-standard device issues during testing, the QA team will take care of it.
“In addition, the production process for all mobile phones will be temporarily suspended until the cause of the problem is found and a solution is found. This is to keep the quality of OPPO Find N2 Flip remains the best when accepted by the buyer,” Defrian added.
After the presentation of the quality test process was completed, I and other media partners from the orange team exchanged with the green team to see the production process of the OPPO Find N2 Flip.
Rafqi Ramadan as the Head of New Product Introduction for OPPO Find N2 Flip said that the OPPO factory made a big investment by bringing a new high-tech machine consisting of a special humidification machine and a degassing machine to be able to produce the OPPO Find N2 Flip in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, the production process of a folding screen mobile phone is carried out through three main stages consisting of assembly, testing and packaging.
Of course, the assembly stage is critical because it involves many workers to install various components such as screens, motherboards, speaker boxes, connectors, screws, etc.
Still in the assembly stage, a special humidification machine is used to ensure that no dust enters during the installation of the lenses that are assembled in Indonesia to become camera units.
While the degassing machine is used to provide hot pressure and steam to ensure that the anti-scratch layer can stick tightly and there are no bubbles on the curved screen.
Moving into the testing stage, employees will calibrate software and operating systems, check the camera, audio, anti-scratch components and more. If the OPPO Find N2 Flip has successfully passed this stage, it will proceed to the Packaging stage.
In the packing stage, starting from the mobile phone unit, charger adapter, data cable, additional soft case, to other equipment, it will be included in the sales box.
The box weight of each unit will be re-weighed to match the specified standard weight so you know all components are complete in the box. Later, the OPPO Find N2 Flip box will go through the Plastic Wrapping machine so that it can be packed with self-adhesive plastic.
