Gadgetren – Xiaomi has confirmed that it will bring its newest mobile phone to Indonesia in the near future named Redmi 12, which was previously introduced to the global market in June 2023 yesterday.
Xiaomi has provided information about the presence of the Redmi 12 in Indonesia, which will take place on August 1, 2023. There is still no more detailed information about the implementation, but it is possible that it will be possible to watch via YouTube Xiaomi Indonesia.
Meanwhile, detailed sales information will also be announced through official social media. Other than that, the specifications that will support the Redmi 12 in Indonesia have not been revealed further.
The features that the Redmi 12 will surely bring can be seen in the teaser poster posted on Instagram that shows the rear camera unit. Redmi 12 will bring three cameras equipped with LED flash lighting as illumination.
As the successor to the Redmi 11, the teaser poster also reveals a few things about the features it will possess including increased splash resistance, a flat frame design and a larger RAM capacity.
However, usually the specifications that Redmi 12 brings to the global market are not much different in Indonesia. On Xiaomi’s official global website, the Redmi 12 is known to be available in three color variants including Black, Silver and Blue.
On the front, the global version of the Redmi 12 screen has a size of 6.79 inches with Full HD + resolution (2460 x 1080 pixels) that supports NTSC 70% color gamut, brightness level up to 550 nits, refresh rate from 36 Hz to 90 Hz Light certification, Blue Certification.
The display has a punch-hole design as a place for an 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.1 aperture. Both the front and rear cameras can record videos up to 1080p 30fps. Meanwhile, on the back is a 50MP primary lens with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP macro lens with f/2.4 aperture.
The global performance version of the Redmi 12 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 Octa-Core (12nm) 2GHz chipset that comes with 4GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.
Its 5000mAh battery is equipped with 18W charging via USB Type C. The global version of Redmi 12 also supports face recognition on the front camera and a fingerprint scanner on the right side of the body as well as a power button.
Other supporting features are available in the form of NFC features, a 3.5mm audio jack, IP53 certification that indicates splash and dust resistance, and running the Android 13-based MIUI 14 interface.
